Laphroaig – 15 Year Old (46%)

Laphroaig 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt matured for 15 years in American oak bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% without chill filtration. It is the distillery's first 15 year old in over a decade and is intended to stay in the core range. Peat smoke and maritime character meet the vanilla, citrus and spice of American oak. The nose has orange, grapefruit, dried hay, a hint of barbecue smoke, vanilla and clove. On the palate come sea salt, smoked mackerel, black pepper and spices, with peach and grapefruit towards the end. The finish is long and smoky.
