This is the 2018 release in Laphroaig's yearly limited edition series, a 28 year old Islay single malt bottled by the distillery at 44.4% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is a selected mixture of casks: quarter casks, ex-bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry butts. It brings together the distillery's medicinal smoke with the fruitiness that many of its older bottlings show.
