The Cask Lore is an Islay single malt from Laphroaig, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
It combines the heavily peated Laphroaig spirit with maturation in several cask types: ex-bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry hogsheads and European oak casks. The blend draws on both old and classic styles.
Laphroaig was founded in 1815 and still dries its own malt on traditional malting floors, with smoke from old peat-fired kilns.
