This is a 27 year old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, distilled in 1981 and bottled by the distillery in 2008 at a natural cask strength of 56.6% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle, and this one is number 49 of 736.
It is the second batch of 27 year old sherried Laphroaig, and it was bottled from just five Oloroso sherry butts. The 1980 vintage released in 2007 was filled from the same type of cask and went on to win the top prize at the Malt Maniac Awards.
