Friar John '26 is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky from Lindores, in a 70cl bottle at 52.5% ABV. It was matured in a ruby port cask.
The port cask shows in the notes from the distillery: dates, chocolate-covered raisins, figs and berry jam on the nose, with nutty notes and cinnamon.
On the palate it is rich with strawberry jam, dates and dark sugar syrup, alongside spices, oaky vanilla, chocolate, marzipan and roasted almonds. The texture is soft and the finish long, with chocolate and spice.
