This is Friar John Cor, Chapter III, a cask strength single malt from Lindores, bottled at 60.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in three kinds of cask: ex-Bourbon, Amontillado sherry and Pedro Ximenez sherry. The spirit was then combined and left to marry in sherry butts, which deepened its complexity and harmony.
It is mahogany in colour. The nose is sweet, with vanilla, treacle, honey and ripe orchard fruits.
