Lone Elm Union Hill is a straight rye from Texas, aged for at least four years and bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 70cl bottle. The mash bill is 60% rye, 30% wheat and 10% malted barley.
Rye spice, vanilla, freshly cut Texas grass and mint mark the nose. The palate brings dark rye bread with orange jelly, macadamia nuts, rich dark cocoa, apricots and mandarins, and strong bitter chocolate. The finish is long, with fruit and dark chocolate notes.
