A cask-strength blended rye whiskey from Barrell Craft Spirits of Louisville, Kentucky, bottled at 59.2% in a 75cl bottle. It blends American and Canadian ryes sourced from distilleries in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Canada.
Each rye is finished separately before blending, in one of three cask types: Martinique rhum agricole casks, Madeira wine casks or apricot brandy barrels. It received a Double Gold medal at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The nose offers honeydew melon, ripe plum, apricot and a thread of tarragon. The palate is sweet and juicy with pear, lychee and white grapefruit, then rye spice and a sherry-like note. The finish is long, with grapefruit zest, apricot and dry herbs.
