Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside single malt matured in two kinds of cask: European sherry casks and American bourbon casks. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
Sweet sherry, honey and dried fruit mark the nose, with a light oak note. On the palate there is vanilla and caramel alongside citrus, raisins and apple, and a gentle spice. The finish is of medium length, with dried fruit, vanilla and spice, ending lightly dry with a little oak.
