This is a Macallan 12 Year Old from the 1980s, matured entirely in sherry casks and bottled at 43%. The distillery is in Speyside.
Macallan took over its own bottlings from Campbell, Hope & King in 1980, inheriting 8 and 12 year old age statements. The 12 year old proved the favourite of the range, and it remains in production today as part of the Sherry Oak Cask line.
