The Macallan 12 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask is a Speyside single malt from The Macallan, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has matured for a minimum of twelve years in European oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez, Spain.
The majority of the casks are first-fill, and the whisky takes its colour naturally, without artificial colouring.
The nose is rich, with dried fruits, polished oak, a hint of spice and sherry. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with oak, sherry character, understated sweetness and a touch of spice. The finish is medium to long, with seasoned wood, gentle warmth and a trace of fruit.
