Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Year Old is a single malt bottled at 40% ABV. It belongs to the Sherry Oak range and was matured only in oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez in Spain.
The whisky stays on those casks for the full 12 years. It is described as rich in spice and dried fruit, with a natural deep golden colour.
The nose is complex, with a touch of vanilla. The palate is smooth and medium in weight, balanced between fruit, oak and spice. The finish is long, with sweet dried fruits, oak and spice.
