This is an earlier presentation of The Macallan 12 Year Old, a Speyside single malt that was bottled before the range was refreshed and the expression was renamed Sherry Oak. It is no longer produced in this form.
The whisky was matured for 12 years entirely in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. It has a natural deep gold colour.
The sherry oak brings dried fruits, warming wood spice and sweet oak, with a rounded richness.
