This is The Macallan 12 Years Old, a distillery bottling in the newer label. It was matured in sherry oak casks from Spain and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The Macallan stands at Easter Elchies, Craigellachie, in Speyside, and is among the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. Its founder, Alexander Reid, received the licence in 1824. The distillery is owned today by the Edrington Group.
