A distillery bottling of Macallan at 12 years old, in the old label design, matured in sherry oak casks. It is 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle and comes in a tin box.
The nose offers gooseberries, dark jam, vanilla and a little cinnamon, with a hint of citrus, some honey and a touch of ginger. The palate is mature and complex, with sherry, a slight bittersweet edge, orange, mandarin and toffee. The finish is of medium length and soft, with orange, mandarin, cocoa, toffee and plenty of sherry.
