A 12 year old Macallan single malt bottled in the 1980s. It was matured in sherry wood casks and is bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle.
The nose combines gooseberries, dark jam, vanilla and a little cinnamon, with a touch of citrus, honey and a hint of ginger. The palate shows mature sherry, complex and slightly bittersweet, with orange and mandarin. The finish is very long and soft, fruity with orange, mandarin, cocoa and toffee, and plenty of sherry.
