Macallan – 15 Year Old Double Cask

Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside single malt that combines sherry-seasoned American oak with sherry-seasoned European oak. It matured for a minimum of fifteen years on the Macallan Estate. The American oak brings vanilla sweetness and lighter fruit, the European oak richer dried fruit and soft spice. It is bottled at natural colour, with no added caramel. The nose has dried fruit, toffee, vanilla and baked apple, with honey and chocolate. The palate brings sweet raisin and sultana with vanilla, wood spice and citrus. The finish is warm, with ginger turning to caramel and citrus.
