Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask is a single malt matured for 18 years in sherry-seasoned oak from both sides of the Atlantic. European oak casks give it power, while American oak casks add smoothness and a creamy sweetness.
The nose combines dried fruit, caramel, orange marmalade, vanilla, cinnamon and old oak. The palate is full and silky, with toffee, raisins, honey, dark chocolate, citrus oil and warm spices. The finish is long and warming, with the sherry and oak well integrated.
