Macallan – 18 Year Old Double Cask (2026 Release)

This is the 2026 release of Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask, a naturally coloured Speyside single malt. Every cask used spent its whole maturation in sherry seasoned oak. The malt draws on both American and European oak. The American oak adds sweetness and vanilla, while the European oak brings soft spices and dried fruit. The casks were crafted and seasoned in Macallan's own cooperages and bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera. The nose offers dried fruit, toffee, candied citrus peel, ginger and nutmeg. On the palate come raisin, sultana, dried apricot, treacle toffee, vanilla and ginger, with toasted wood spice and baked apple. The finish is long, with warm oak and citrus.
