Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak is a single malt from the 2025 release, an annual limited edition. It spent 18 years in European oak casks that previously held sherry from Jerez, which gave it a mahogany colour. It comes in a gift box.
The nose offers dried fruit and raisins with warm spice, orange peel, dark chocolate, vanilla, a little ginger and oak. The palate is silky, with dried figs, dates and bitter orange marmalade, creamy vanilla and toasted oak, then cinnamon, nutmeg, dark caramel and nuts. The finish is long, with ripe oak, sweet spice and dried fruit.
