Macallan – 18 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask 2021 Release

This is the 2021 release of Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old, a single malt matured entirely in oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez in Spain. The spirit stays in the same casks for all 18 years. Ripe oak, ginger and raisin shape its character, and the colour is a light mahogany that comes from the wood. Macallan has been established since 1824. The nose is dried fruit and ginger with touches of vanilla and cinnamon. The palate is very soft and rich, with spice, cloves, orange and toasted oak, and the finish lingers with dried fruit, ginger and orange peel.
