Macallan – 1876 Replica 4th Edition

Macallan 1876 Replica is the fourth edition of the Macallan Replica series, from 2003. Whisky maker Bob Dalgarno recreated the taste and design of an original 1876 Macallan kept at the distillery, selecting from various casks after sampling. 19,800 bottles were made. The bottle copies the antique glass of the original, including its colour and irregularities, and carries a label in the name of James Stuart and Co, the historic owner of Macallan. It is hand-sealed, comes in red velvet-lined packaging with a spare cork and a booklet, and is described as well rounded yet complex.
