This is a Macallan single malt distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2006 as a Premier's Choice release for the Thai market by Quality Spirits International Ltd. It is 19 years old, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, from an outturn of 1,077 bottles.
It was matured in sherry casks. The nose combines honeyed malt, soft vanilla and orange liqueur with figs and raisins, and a mossy, faintly medicinal edge. The palate is soft and velvety, with orange liqueur, toasted nuts and light tannins. The finish moves from honey and fruit to gentle oak, spice and a little vanilla.
