This is a Macallan single malt from Gordon & MacPhail's Speymalt range, from 1998 and bottled in 2024 at 53.2% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a sherry cask.
Gordon & MacPhail has been an independent bottler for more than 125 years, and is one of the few able to bottle Macallan's spirit under the distillery's own name.
The notes begin with vanilla and soft toffee, moving to dried figs and sultanas. Raspberry, Seville orange and aniseed follow, and the whisky fades slowly with oak tones.
