A 20 year old Macallan from the Speymalt range, which marks the collaboration between Macallan and the independent bottler Gordon & Macphail. It was distilled in 2001, matured in a refill sherry hogshead and bottled in 2022 at a natural strength of 54.5%. Only 266 bottles were filled.
The nose offers rich stewed fruit, Seville orange peel and festive spices. Fruitcake, toasted oak, roasted coffee beans and toffee apples follow on the palate, and the finish is full and spicy with a touch of black pepper.
