This is a single cask Macallan, 23 years old, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Speymalt from Macallan range. It was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2025 at 58.3%, in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a first-fill sherry hogshead, number 23602102, and the outturn was 335 bottles. The Speymalt range was created by Gordon & MacPhail in 1998, and this cask was distilled two years after Edrington bought Macallan distillery. The whisky shows golden tints in the glass, with fruit, floral and medicinal notes in its flavours and aromas.
