The Macallan 26 Year Old (Sirius) is a single malt released in 630 numbered crystal decanters. It comes from two Macallan casks that Mahesh Patel picked out more than 15 years ago, and it combines Highland peat with the Macallan sherry character.
The nose is butterscotch and heather with orange-tinged charcoal smoke. On the palate it is creamy and peppery, with roasted nuts, nutmeg, clove, Madagascan vanilla, dark chocolate, honey, candied fruits and floral smoke. The finish is long, with sweet, oaky spice.
