Macallan – A Night On Earth (Release 2022) (43%)

Macallan A Night On Earth is the 2022 release in the distillery's seasonal series, a single malt bottled at 43%. It tells the story of Hogmanay, the Scottish New Year celebrations held every year on 31 December. This edition is a collaboration with the Japanese-French illustrator Erica Dorn. Her playful abstract artwork draws on the fire rituals of New Year celebrations around the world. The nose is buttery vanilla with baked apple, biscuit, plum and almond. The palate is soft and velvety, reminiscent of shortbread, with toasted marshmallow, dried orange, fig and cinnamon. The finish is medium, with sweet butterscotch and freshly baked biscuits.
