Macallan A Night on Earth - The First Light is a limited-edition single malt that marks the first sunrise of the new year in New Zealand, one of the earliest places to see dawn. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, with a touch of ex-bourbon barrels. The packaging was illustrated by New Zealand artist Bonnie Brown and follows the journey from night to dawn.
The nose offers marshmallow, vanilla, berry compote and manuka honey. Caramel, baking spices, stone fruits and creamy vanilla lead the palate, and the finish is fruity with gentle spice and toasted oak.
