The 2023 Edition is a limited-edition Speyside single malt from the annual Classic Cut series by Macallan. The series looks at the character of Macallan at a higher strength, and this release is bottled at 50.3%.
It combines European oak sherry-seasoned casks with American oak ex-bourbon casks.
It is described as showing ripe pear, elderflower, almond biscotti and sweet vanilla, with fresh citrus and gentle oak spice. A little water is said to bring out further layers of flavour.
