Macallan – Concept Number 2 (40%)

Concept Number 2 is the second of three releases in The Macallan's Concept Series, launched in 2019 for global travel retail. It was inspired by the link between whisky making and music, and reflects the two interests of Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner, who is also a house music DJ. The whisky was matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned American oak casks, Miguel Martin sherry casks and ex-bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 40% ABV. The nose offers toffee apple, vanilla, oak spice and blackberry, with nutmeg, rose water and pistachio. On the palate come sweet toffee, dried apple, almond and cinnamon, and the finish is medium-sweet, with toffee and spice.
