Macallan – Edition No. 5 (48.5%)

Macallan Edition No. 5 is the fifth release in The Macallan's Edition Series, a limited edition from 2019 bottled at 48.5% ABV. It was created in collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute, which led to a specially developed shade of purple for the packaging. The whisky was matured only in American oak casks. Tasting notes describe vanilla, toffee and fresh pear on the nose, with nutmeg, ginger and subtle oak. The palate brings caramel, poached peaches, ripe pear and gentle spice, followed by a long, sweet finish.
