Macallan – Exceptional Single Cask 2017/ESB-2339/05 (70cl)

This is a single cask Macallan from the Exceptional Casks series, released in 2017 in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled on 4 March 2002 and matured for more than 15 years in a single European oak sherry butt, number 2339. It is one of 286 bottles from that cask. Master Distiller Bob Dalgarno selected the cask, the fifth to be reserved for the 2017 series, on 2 June that year. The range was bottled for the United States and parts of Asia, and takes its name from the single cask Macallans released during the 1990s.
