Macallan – Gold 1824 Series Limited Edition (70cl, 40%)

This is Macallan Gold from the 1824 Series, a limited edition bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is gold in colour. The nose brings smokiness, oak, praline and vanilla, with fresh sawdust, porridge, raisiny sherry and new spicy oak. On the palate a sweet spiciness from the oak comes first, followed by ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves, with raisins and orange peel. The finish is of medium length, with the same spices, a touch of aniseed and orange marmalade.
