Macallan Harmony Collection Jing is a limited edition single malt, the fifth release in the Harmony series. It was made in collaboration with the tea producer JING and takes its inspiration from Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea, an oolong from Guangdong in China.
The whisky was matured in sherry-seasoned American oak, European oak and a touch of ex-bourbon wood. It is bottled at 43.9% with natural colour, and the box is made from recycled tea leaves.
The nose brings ripe peach, floral honey and orange peel, with a hint of tea leaf. The palate is silky and full, with syrupy peach, apricot, nuts and caramel. The finish is long and warm, with honey, spice and a dry oak note.
