Macallan – Harmony Collection Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea is a whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Bottled at 43.9% ABV, 70cl. The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow ‘cut’ of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors. A new £140 million subterranean distillery and visitor centre on the Easter Elchies estate was opened to the public in the summer of 2018 and has since won several awards for its architectural quality; with its exciting features including glass walls of vintage whiskies, a circular pod of copper pot stills, and a Boutique reflecting those in Dubai and Heathrow airports. Harmony Collection Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea: This travel exclusive is the fifth release in the Harmony Collection series and has been created in collaboration with JING’s Phoenix Honey. Matured in a combination of first fill sherry seasoned European oak casks and refill sherry casks, it was made available from The Macallan Global Boutiques, in key airports and selected duty free locations. Please be aware, due to their design, the bottle support for Macallan Harmony boxes is easily deformed and/or detached.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
