Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old is a single malt in its 2024 release, bottled at 43%. It matured for 18 years exclusively in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez in Spain.
The whisky has a natural light mahogany colour, which reflects the influence of those sherry casks.
Sultanas, orange peel and ground cinnamon lead on the nose. The palate brings stem ginger, soaked raisins, sticky dates, dark chocolate and mature oak.
