The whisky was matured in ex-sherry casks, and the bottling belongs to the 1700 Series.
The Macallan distillery stands at Easter Elchies, Craigellachie, in Banffshire, and is owned by the Edrington Group. Alexander Reid received its distilling licence in 1824.
