This 2025 Harmony Collection release from Macallan is a single malt made in collaboration with JING, producers of fine teas. It was inspired by Organic Cherrywood Lapsang Tea, in which cherrywood smoke is added to the tea leaves, and it is bottled at 44.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
European oak gives a bold, rounded character, while sherry-seasoned American oak casks add sweet oak notes. A wisp of smoke comes from hand-selected casks, echoing the tea.
The aroma is reminiscent of incense. On the palate there is rich dark fruit, toffee and warming tannins, with a smooth malty sweetness.
