Macallan – Time : Space Mastery is a whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Bottled at 43.6% ABV, 70cl. The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. Now owned by the Edrington Group, The Macallan prides itself on its Six Pillars, which include its curiously small stills, very narrow ‘cut’ of new make spirit and exceptional cask management. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors. A new £140 million subterranean distillery and visitor centre on the Easter Elchies estate was opened to the public in the summer of 2018 and has since won several awards for its architectural quality; with its exciting features including glass walls of vintage whiskies, a circular pod of copper pot stills, and a Boutique reflecting those in Dubai and Heathrow airports. Time:Space Mastery Created in celebration of Macallan’s monumental 200 year anniversary, this beautifully unique looking release is also a celebration of their unique approach to maturation. The theme is based around whisky making being like time travel, the spirit being laid down in the past and enjoyed in the future. Once opened, the handsome presentation box reveals 200 origami inspired spikes, each one marking a year in Macallan’s history. The circular bottle design represents the circularity of life and the ongoing journey from the past to the future. About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
