Maker's Mark 46 is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtration or added colouring.
It is described as a soft, balanced bourbon with a smooth mouthfeel.
The nose offers sweet vanilla sugar, ripe fruit and a touch of oak. On the palate, caramel and honey lead, with vanilla, a hint of cinnamon, light oak spice and a little orange. The finish is medium in length and slightly dry, with caramel and vanilla lingering and the oak growing a little stronger towards the end.
