Maker's Mark – 46 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky

Maker's Mark 46 is a Kentucky straight bourbon, and the first major new release from the distillery since the original Maker's Mark in 1958. It was created by Bill Samuels Jr. Fully matured Maker's Mark bourbon is finished with ten seared French oak staves fitted into the barrel, then matured further in the distillery's limestone cellar. The name comes from the Independent Stave Company's designation for the stave profile used. The aroma is toasty French oak, caramel and baking spices. The palate is mildly sweet and layered, with vanilla and baking spice. The finish is velvety, subtle and pleasingly long.
