This is a Kentucky bourbon in a 1 litre bottle, bottled at 40% ABV and sealed with Maker's Mark's hand-dipped red wax.
It is made in small batches at the Maker's Mark Distillery and matured in charred American oak barrels. The mash bill uses soft red winter wheat rather than rye, which gives a softer, rounder style of bourbon.
The palate is full-bodied and creamy, with caramel, vanilla, honey and toasted oak, along with baking spice, butterscotch and a gentle fruit sweetness. The finish is mellow.
