Maker's Mark is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 45% in a 1 litre bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings sweet vanilla sugar, ripe fruit and a hint of oak. The palate is soft but full-bodied, with caramel and honey, vanilla and a touch of cinnamon, balanced by light oak spice and a little spiced orange. The finish is of medium length and slightly dry, with caramel and vanilla sweetness lingering as the oak grows a little stronger towards the end.
