This is a single barrel Maker's Mark Private Selection made with Star Hill Farms bourbon, a Kentucky straight bourbon at 56% in a 75cl bottle. It is one of 252 bottles from the Private Select programme, chosen exclusively for Whiskey Ridge Texas.
The single barrels were released during the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in 2025 and make use of unusual wood staves to shape their flavour. The Master Distiller gives each release a name for its closest flavour profile, and this one is Milk Chocolate Truffle.
The nose offers vanilla, honey and bright fruit. The palate brings creamy and toasted caramel, milk chocolate and almonds, and the finish has clove, ripe fruit and orange peel with a lingering coffee note.
