A limited annual release from Maker's Mark, bottled at cask strength, 58.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It marries two mashbills, one of wheat and malted barley and the other of 100% malted wheat, which together work out at 27% wheat, 62% malted wheat and 11% malted barley.
The grains were harvested in the autumns of 2017 and 2018. Hard red and hard white wheat are layered over Maker's Mark's usual soft red winter wheat.
The nose is dark and dense, with molasses, fig and delicate spice. The palate is vibrant, with zesty citrus, ripe pear and shortbread. The finish is lingering, with rich sweetness and soft cinnamon.
