This is the second of five releases in the Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series, a limited edition Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 54.6% in a 75cl bottle.
The Keepers Release honours the people who craft the bourbon by hand at Star Hill Farm, and in particular those who oversee its maturation.
The tasting notes describe a nose of seasoned oak, brûlée sugar and tobacco, and a bold, toasted oak palate with subtle sweetness. The finish is long and enveloping, with dried dark fruit and roasted sweetness.
