Manly Spirits Coastal Stone 6 Year Old Australian Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Coastal Stone is a 6 year old Australian single malt from Manly Spirits Co., made at its distillery in Brookvale on Sydney's Northern Beaches, the first distillery built in that part of the city. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is aged near the sea, using shaved, toasted and re-charred casks. The bottle design nods to the sandstone cliffs of the Sydney coastline and is closed with a stopper of Sydney sandstone. The nose has vanilla, green apple, pear and buttered caramel. The palate is mellow and sweet, with warm honey, baked pear and caramelised apple over oak, leather and baking spice. The finish is long, lightly oily and gently spiced.
