Map of Islay Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt (70cl, 40%)

Map of Islay Heavily Peated is an Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery, bottled independently by Kirsch Import under its own Map of Islay label. It is sold in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. The whisky matured in bourbon casks and is not chill-filtered, though colouring has been added. Its character is strongly peated, with bright fruit and sweet vanilla set against heavy peat smoke. On the nose it is smoky and peaty with sweet vanilla and fresh sea salt. The palate is powerful and layered, with toasted oak and mild fruit, and the finish stays long and smoky with a fine touch of spice.
