Mars Komagatake 27 Years Single Malt Japanese Whisky

This is a 27 year old single malt Japanese whisky from Mars, named after Komagatake, the mountain that rises to the top of the Central Alps around the distillery. It is a vatting of rare, long-aged malts from the distillery's own stocks, selected through trial and error by Kenji Taniguchi, then chief blender and production manager. In the tasting notes it shows rich flavours of plum, apricot and vanilla, with a spicy, complex character from start to finish.
